Reno Yeh
Classical Saxophonist and teacher
"LefreQue does offer more colors for your notes once you find the sweet combination. If in doubt, go try them!"
Born in Taiwan in 1983, Reno initially studied computer science and completed military service in the Taiwanese army band. Later, he decided to pursue a career in music. At the age of 27, he traveled to Italy and joined the "Niccolò Piccinni" Conservatory of Music in Bari to study saxophone under the guidance of professor Marco Albonetti in 2010. Subsequently, he followed his teacher and transferred to the "F. A. Bonporti" Conservatory of Music in Trento in 2012, earning a first-level academic diploma with full mark in the graduation concert. In 2014, he attended the second-level saxophone class at the "Luca Marenzio" Conservatory of Music in Brescia under the guidance of professor Gianni Alberti. In March 2017, at the age of 33, he earned a second-level academic diploma with the highest honors.
Reno has won several competitions, received lessons from international professors, and consistently participates in musical events. Currently performing and teaching in the Brescia area, Reno stands out as one of the few musicians worldwide who plays the soprillo sax, the smallest member of the saxophone family. He continually seeks to introduce new colors to the world of saxophone playing and is dedicated to exploring innovative methods of performance and instruction. He is the inventor of the 24-EDO Yehnian Solfège, which is the first and currently the only consistent and coherent solfège system, and it's easy to learn even for music beginners.
